What to Have at Your Floral Consultation

Need to Have:
1. Ceremony and reception location(s);
2. Time of ceremony and length of service;
3. If getting married in a church, any floral guidelines that need to be followed;
4. Time of Photographer’s arrival;
5. A floral budget range;
6. Number of personal arrangements needed including Honor Attendants, Bridesmaids, Groomsmen, flower girl(s), ring bearer(s), parents, grandparents, and any other special guests;
7. Types of ceremony arrangements desired and instruction on being moved to reception if needed;
8. Detailed description and/or photograph of bridal gown including any fabric swatches. Even better, a photograph of you in the dress will help the florist scale the bouquet appropriately;
9. Detailed description and/or a photograph of the attendants’ and mothers’ dresses including any fabric swatches;
10. Detailed description of the men’s formalwear;
11. Photographs of inspirational bouquets, centerpieces, etc.;
12. Time of the reception and duration;
13. Reception details including the number of invited guests, type of reception, linen fabrication and color, and the names and contact information of the site coordinator, catering executive, photographer, and Rental Company;
14. Detailed description and/or photograph of the wedding cake if already chosen
15. Name and contact information of Confectioner.

Nice to Have:
1. An antique handkerchief or sentimental piece of jewelry to adorn the bridal bouquet;
2. Fabric scraps from the bridal gown or bridesmaids dresses to embellish the bouquets;
3. Handmade paper, fabric, or beaded flowers, bugs, or other items that can be incorporated into the bouquets.
