| Morgan & Bradley Morgan Elizabeth Cates and Bradley Lynn Tew were friends for about a year before they had their first date in March of 2007- three years before their wedding! Morgan hired Sally Herring of An Elegant Affair to help plan her dream wedding, and says she “couldn’t have made it through the weekend without her and her organizational skills.” The couple kicked off their wedding weekend with an after-rehearsal party at Raleigh Marriott City Center, complete with a DJ, open bar, hot chocolate & snack food stations. The City Center was also where out-of-town guests stayed, so this was a convenient location and the party was “a blast!” The wedding ceremony was at the couples’ church, and Morgan chose the Capital City Club for her reception. She is a member of the Club and she “knew the quality of service would be high.” Kristen Duvall, the club’s reception director, “took care of every little detail so [Morgan] never worried about the reception.” Morgan chose navy, her favorite color, for her bridesmaid dresses and linens, and accented that theme with seasonal spring green. The floral arrangements were white and green and incorporated her favorite flower, calla lilies. Morgan was thrilled with her photographer, Katy Cook, as well as Chris and Toni from Barton Creek, who made her wedding film. “They are incredibly professional artists who you almost don’t even notice are there until you see their work and realize they captured your day perfectly,” she says of the videography team. Morgan and Bradley are from small towns near Raleigh, where they currently live and work. They both went to school in the Triangle - Bradley went to NCSU and Morgan went to UNC-CH, which seems to be the only potential point of conflict for this perfect pair.
