Spring Garden Wedding

Jennie and Karl met and became engaged on board a cruise ship. where they both worked as officers. When they aren’t traveling with the the fabulous Cunard’s Queen Elizabeth II cruise ship where Karl is a Navigator and Jennie is in the Pursers Department, they reside in Cary.

Jennie knew Fearrington was the ideal location for their wedding and reception because she had worked there prior to joining the Queen Elizabeth II staff. They chose the romantic White Garden for the ceremony with classical favorites as their added musical ambiance. Their cocktail hour was held on the Patio of the Garden Terrace, with tables dressed in periwinkle and white.

A lunch reception followed inside the lovely Garden Terrace, decorated in colors of lavender and periwinkle hydrangeas for 25 of their closest family and friends.  Jennie and Karl included their initials on paper materials (menus, place cards and wedding favors) adorned with periwinkle shimmer ribbon, emulating their invitations. Periwinkle-colored table linens with white, hemstitched linen overlays matched the daytime pristine white garden chairs. Fearrington House restaurant is known for its acclaimed cuisine. The couple selected three specialty tables of roasted beef tenderloin, seafood and antipasti, each with side dishes. The white fondant covered cake was wrapped with periwinkle ribbon.

Jennie carried a simple hand-tied bouquet of pink blush Gerber daisies, her favorite flower. Bridesmaids, in dresses designed and created by Jennie’s maid of honor, carried hand-tied bouquets of white Gerber daisies. Jennie and Karl exited amid a toss of roses and array of bubbles.
