Raleigh Romance

Jill Hutchins and Dave Padilla met through mutual friends in downtown Raleigh on New Years Eve.

They both live and work in Raleigh, so when Dave surprised Jill by popping the question when their families met for the first time, they knew that downtown was the place for their special day.

Jill and Dave selected Solas on Glenwood Avenue for their wedding reception. This venue offers an edgy urban look and fabulous food, and was decorated to the nines by the floral design genius of Fresh Affairs.

Jill chose Swank Photo Studio to document her day. She calls lead photographer Stacy “the most fun and talented photographer in the world!”

Stacy Borelli says one of the moments that stood out the most during the wedding was when Jill’s father drove the newlyweds from the church to the reception on the back of his vintage 1964 cadillac. “People were honking and waving, and you could just feel the energy and love between them,” Stacy says.
