SB&G’s April Honeymoon Winners
We selected two winning couples this week and are giving out two seaside getaways.
Danielle and Jerry won a 3-night stay to the Jekyll Island Club Hotel, a castle-like historic resort off the coast of Georgia. Danielle and Jerry are getting married next April at the Grand Marquise Ballroom.

Amy and Mike won a 2-night trip to Sands Resort North Myrtle Beach. This couple will be wed in Durham at the King’s Daughters Inn.

Danielle Raymond and Daniel Lee won a seating scroll from Maria Scheel Invitations & More. Danielle & Dan are getting married at the Prestonwood Country Club in 2013.
Tammy Brooks and her fiance Gregory won a gift certificate to Caffe Luna in Raleigh; they will be married at the Crabtree Marriott.

Sarah Lawson and her fiance Matt received a gift certificate to Cafe Parizade in Durham.

SB&G Photo Shoot Contest for Triangle NC Couples
We are looking for a loving LOCAL couple who is engaged or recently-married. We want to hear your story- how you met, fell in love, and got engaged! We also want to see your on camera chemistry since you’ll be SB&G models for the day!
To be considered for this photo shoot, submit your story via the “FEATURE MY WEDDING” tab at the BOTTOM of the REAL WEDDINGS Page. When submitting, make sure to check “Yes” to the box that asks if you’d like to be considered for the Photo Shoot Contest (one of the last questions). Then, email a few wedding or engagement photos of you and your boo to info@southernbrideandgroom.com.

Belk Engagement Parties

On Thursday, all of the Triangle Belks are hosting an Engagement Party! Just stop by the Bridal Registry Area for all kinds of fun. If you have not registered for your wedding yet, you are in luck – register during this event to be in the drawing for some amazing prizes! There will also be music, refreshments.
If you are near Southpoint, the event there is being treated to delicious fare provided by The Siena Hotel.

Blair McDonald and Spencer Welborn won a $75 gift certificate to Parizade. Blair and Spencer are getting married in Chapel Hill in August.

Jocelyn Mohr won a $100 gift certificate to Primp Salonbar. She is pictured below with her fiance, Abe Kline, below.

Elizabeth Latta and Nate Westmoreland won a $250 event production package from Showtime Events. Their wedding reception will be at Cobblestone Hall in July.

Southern Bride & Groom celebrates Silver Anniversary with wedding photo contest
The Triangle”s most trusted bridal magazine and online wedding resource guide will give one lucky couple a photo shoot that will be published in the magazine
Southern Bride & Groom (SB&G), the Triangle”s most trusted bridal magazine and online wedding planning resource, is launching a contest for real brides and grooms to apply for their own couple photo shoot. The winner”s photos will be featured in the next issue of the magazine, to be published December 2012.
Engaged or newly married couples can apply to this contest by submitting their engagement photos to SB&G on the website”s Real Weddings page. The deadline is May 1, 2012. This contest is part of SB&G”s 25th Anniversary Celebration. The magazine”s Silver Anniversary Edition is being released in late December, in time for engagement season, and will cover the entirety of 2012.
“SB&G has grown along with the Triangle area, and I feel privileged that we”ve been able to be a part of the amazing wedding industry in this area for 25 years,” said Donna Parks, publisher. “Our goal has been to bring exceptionally talented and reliable businesses to the attention of area brides, along with wedding planning and etiquette tips.” Parks founded SB&G as the region”s premiere bridal publication in 1986, and still runs the business today alongside her daughter and best friend,Jenna Parks Olender.
SB&G was the NC Triangle”s first bridal publication.
