Charlotte’s is a fantastic, one-stop-shop for brides-to-be. The boutique — with locations in Cameron Village and North Hills Mall — has adorable dresses perfect for bridal showers and bachelorette parties, customizable personalized jewelry for you or your ‘maids, gifts for your bridesmaids and your husband-to-be’s groomsmen, and the Cameron Village location has absolutely beautiful stationary. Charlotte’s custom invitations can be tailored to your unique style, and are perfect for all sorts of events.
Charlotte’s specializes in letterpress invitations — a classically fashionable tactile printing technique that has nearly replaced engraving as the most high-end invitation style. Letterpress can be done on a variety of textures — from dense cotton papers to shimmery or layered papers, or even wood or cork! Charlotte’s will also turn your wedding paper products into a lasting keepsake that you’ll be able to treasure forever. Their stationer will custom design a beautiful art piece to memorialize your wedding day.
Katherine, the bride in today’s real wedding feature, loved to shop at Charlotte’s, so when she saw their stunning stationary designs in the invitation spread of the 2013 edition of Southern Bride & Groom, she knew she wanted Charlotte’s to custom design her wedding paper products, which turned out absolutely beautiful!
Katherine and Landon met while walking their dogs around their neighborhood. Landon surprised Katherine one Friday afternoon with an incredibly romantic proposal, complete with rose petals! Of course, she said yes, and the couple began planning their June 2013 wedding.
The couple tied the knot at Edenton Street United Methodist Church in Raleigh, with a reception at the North Ridge Country Club. They chose a classic black and white palette with pops of color — like bright pink flowers! Katherine and Landon used SB&G throughout the wedding planning process, and decided to enlist the help of several members of the SB&G Family to make their wedding day vision come to life, including: Alexia’s Bridal, Sugarland, Charlotte’s, CE Rental and the Renaissance North Hills Hotel.

Earlier this month, Charlotte’s boutique in Cameron Village hosted an Open House! We wanted to show you a few awesome photos by SB&G photographer Renee Sprink to recap the event, and tell you a little bit more about what Charlotte’s offers! A few members of the SB&G family were also present, including Sugarland and Victorian Rose Bridals.
Participants received gift bags from Charlotte’s and had the opportunity to register for some fabulous giveaways from local wedding vendors while perusing the boutique’s collection of invitations, favors, jewelry and adorable apparel.

Another SB&G family member, Renee Sprink Photography, will be onsite too!

Last fall, SB&G threw a “Girls’ Night Out” party for bride-to-be Lauren, in one of Sparians’ private bowling rooms, the perfect setting for an intimate get-together or even a rehearsal dinner or wedding event. SB&G and A Southern Soiree planned this party with the help of a fabulous team of vendors. The party was themed for the 60′s, with a coral and turquoise color theme.
Maria Scheel Invitations & More created glitzy custom invitations that were sent to the bride and her guests. The English Garden Florist created wall mod-chic wall decor and bowling ball topiaries. Sparians served signature pink cocktails, and heavy hors d’oeuvres, and Gigi’s Cupcakes provided cupcakes that looked like actual bowling balls! Island Sound enhanced the ambiance with special lighting, and entertained the group of gals with 60′s mod live music. We also played old episodes of “Laverne & Shirley” on the Sparians’ TV screens to add to the theme!
F8 Photo Studios photographed the event, which was featured in SB&G 2012 on pages 70-71. Their sister video company, F8 in Motion, filmed the special occasion, and we’re happy to share that video with you here. Enjoy!
Lauren and Zach Heath were married on October 29, 2011. Congrats!
SB&G had the privilege of working with Stacy Borelli of Swank Photo Studio on our 2012 magazine”s bridal invitation shoot this week. We went to Stacy”s studio in downtown Smithfield, and what a perfect place for a photoshoot of any kind! That studio is decked out in all sorts of sensual and visual goodness. Although perfect for anything from a newborn baby session to a boudoir “Vintage Vixen” photoshoot, the mission for us this week was capturing our talented stationers” work. We had a blast jamming to Stacy”s music and creating the perfect setup for each invitation set.
Selecting your save the date and wedding invitation is a very important part of the planning. It is here that you can establish a theme, color scheme, monogram, and the level of formality you want for your wedding. The stationers who are in SB&G know the etiquette, and will be able to guide you through the process. Take a look at our INVITATIONS PAGE and peruse some wonderful talented professionals.
