Raleigh Florist Eclectic Sage Inspires at The Cookery with Antique Wedding Flowers in Neutral Shades of Purple, Cream, Blush and Green
We’re thrilled to kick off the 2019 Southern Bride & Groom magazine editorial blog series with some seriously romantic wedding inspiration. In our floral shoot, top local NC florists, rental companies, stationers and fashion salons come together to create wedding scenes. Raleigh wedding florist, Eclectic Sage created a romantic wedding tabletop of neutral and antique wedding flowers. A long reception table and ceremony arch transformed The Cookery, a Durham NC warehouse wedding venue, into a whimsical wedding paradise.
Local Raleigh fitness blogger Claire Guentz and her husband Stephen played bride and groom for this SB&G editorial. They happened to be a real NC bride and groom just one year before – and their love shines through in these beautiful photos by Katherine Miles Jones Photography.
Elegant Neutral and Antique Colored Tablescape for a Modern Southern Wedding
Eclectic Sage creates an inviting tabletop design of natural elegance. Antique hued combinations of cream, coffee and smoky mauve with pops of purple are interesting yet neutral. In addition to lots of natural greenery including leafy flowers and even ferns, there are lots of olive green tones. This comes in with the votives and bottle containers that Eclectic Sage uses as vases. And it is also apparent in the linen napkins from Party Reflections.
The china from Party Reflections is another fun surprise. Minimal modern white charger and dishes are topped with sleek black salad dishes for a modern twist. Sitting atop the place settings are individual single flowers in glass bubble vases. Each one has a hand-written place-card by Raleigh stationer One + Only Paper. The effect is contemporary elegance for any Southern wedding.
The backdrop of The Cookery is perfect. Even on the rainy shoot day, light spills in through the windows. The black rimmed windows and the warehouse venue with its iron details also connect back to the black china and the metallic chairs.
Get The Look – Claire Guentz in Tara LaTour from Gilded Bridal salon in Raleigh
The lovely Claire Guentz is radiant in her Rose + Williams gown. This is a new, more affordable line from the American couture wedding dress designer Tara LaTour. This collection is carried at downtown Raleigh boutique Gilded Bridal. The spaghetti-strap gown cuts into a deep V with a lace bodice. Tara LaTour is known for selecting the most exquisite fabrics, and her new Rose + Williams collection does not make an exception here. The flowy skirt moves beautifully on the dance floor.
Claire’s hair and makeup are styled by Bella Trio, one of the best salons in Durham NC. They also happen to have a full service spa at each of their salons – one is near Southpoint, and one is downtown in American Tobacco Campus. We love how the wedding hair and makeup team chose a loose side braid to go with the offbeat bridal gown look from Tara LaTour.
The bride’s bangle bracelets come from Bailey’s Fine Jewelry, one of the top jewelers and places to find your engagement ring in the NC Triangle. They are located in Cameron Village, and Crabtree Valley Mall.
Eclectic Sage Designs Asymmetrical Wedding Arch – 2019 Ceremony Trend
We love the idea of a wedding ceremony in front of an asymmetrical wedding arch. This design by Raleigh wedding florist Eclectic Sage is bursting with greenery and neutral tones that we think are absolutely captivating. The bride carries a garden bouquet in matching tones that is free flowing and utterly romantic.
And we would be remiss not to mention Stephen Guentz’s dashing groom look. We love his slick navy blue suit from Bernard’s Formalwear, which is a Durham NC wedding staple, located on Ninth Street near Duke. Navy slim fit suits remains one of the biggest trends in groom’s fashion in 2019.
Love what you see? Check back to our blog for the next six weeks, as we unveil the other amazing tabletop designs that were featured in Southern Bride & Groom 2019. Each Monday we’ll be sharing a design by a SB&G Florist – and each one features Stephen and Claire Guentz.
In the meantime, if you’re dying for more floral inspiration, check out another design by Eclectic Sage that happens to feature the 2019 Pantone color of the year – living coral.
