Stephen and Taylor met in the second grade, but it was not until their junior year at NC State University that Stephen broke free from the friend zone. On a week long romantic getaway to Savannah, Georgia, Stephen hired a horse and carriage ride to pick up the couple and take them on an exclusive tour of the charming Southern city. In the intimate moments before the ceremony, Stephen and Taylor opened love letters that they wrote each other before vowing to spend the rest of their lives together as husband and wife. Fairytale Garden Ceremony at Barclay Villa
Stephen and Taylor’s ceremony took place within the quiet and lush garden at Barclay Villa. The vows were shared before a stone adorned by blush and robins egg blue hydrangea floral designs. Bride Taylor reflects on her favorite memory from her fairytale wedding day,
“My favorite moment about the day was when the doors to the garden opened and I got to see my handsome groom at the end of the aisle. In that moment time stood still and everything was absolutely perfect!”
Royal Ballroom Reception at NC Castle Wedding Venue, Barclay Villa
After they shared their “I dos” and a romantic first kiss as husband and wife, Stephen and Taylor enjoyed a private dinner under the gazebo at Barclay Villa. This gave the newlyweds a few precious minutes to reflect on their wedding ceremony and past, present, and future life together. Meanwhile, the guests were greeted by a Catering Works cocktail hour of mini tacos and margaritas, mini chicken and waffles and mimosas, and mini caprese kabobs with bee stings. As if this heavenly spread of hors d’oeuvres was not delicious enough, Catering Works designed a full course meal fit for a king and queen.
