Some folks call the cake the centerpiece of their reception, which is why we reserve a special spotlight in our magazine each year to show off these edible masterpieces! Southern Bride & Groom’s 2015 cake shoot took place at American Tobacco Campus, a hub of happening in the heart of downtown Durham.
A buffet of sweets is sure to make a statement at any wedding reception! Today, we’re featuring a delicious wedding dessert table from Sugarland, which has locations in Raleigh and Chapel Hill. Rose impressions were artfully etched into a light blush cake paired with a complimentary white cake draped in pearl icing. Each is filled with all-natural ingredients, such as salted carmel, tangy lemon curd or chocolate peanut butter mousse fillings. Kiwi tarts, macaroons, cheesecake mousse shooters, and chocolate covered strawberries provide a host of tantalizing sweet treats and showcase the variety of cakes and pasteries Sugarland can create for your special day.
Next to the cakes is a romantic bouquet created by talented Raleigh-blased florist, The English Garden. White, green and blush flowers perfectly match the elegance of the pearl icing and flowers on the cakes displayed.
