New Wedding Trend – Hiring a Wedding Coordinator to Pull off the Perfect Proposal

These days, grooms-to-be are stepping it up a notch when it comes to creative proposals. Wedding photographers have seen a spike in proposal shoots over the last several years, but the trend of planned proposals has expanded to the point where guys are requesting the help of professional wedding coordinators as well!

Thanks to the popularity of sites like Pinterest and YouTube, girls are bombarded with creative proposal schemes. For the guys, this creates some pressure to make their proposal unique and personal. So now, grooms-to-be are bringing in help – not only teaming up with a photographer to capture the moment, but also hiring a wedding coordinator to pull off the perfect proposal.

The ladies at A Southern Soiree were contacted a few months back by a man who wanted to pull off a fantastic surprise – a perfectly picturesque proposal to his girlfriend of three years. The planners worked with him to find the perfect location (and a few backups!), incorporate some live music, and prepare a picnic lunch. A Southern Soiree took care of everything, all he had to do was get his bride-to-be to the location and figure out what he wanted to say!

Hiring a professional can add a big wow factor to the proposal, because they know what works and doesn’t work when it comes to location and details. Bringing in help is also a wonderful idea if you don’t have family or many friends in town to help out with the “surprise” element of the proposal.

We’re seeing this trend pop up more and more recently, and we think it’s so sweet! Documenting the proposal, especially one the groom-to-be put so much work into making special, is an absolutely wonderful way to remember the moment for the rest of your lives.
