Southern Bride & Groom Picks of Romantic Wedding Dresses from Designers Carried at NC Bridal Boutiques
So the latest wedding dress trends are fun to see, but most brides don’t care as much about being cutting edge as utterly lovely! Today, we are continuing our NY Bridal Fashion Week series by sharing our picks for the most romantic wedding dresses from 2018 NY Bridal market. From tulle skirts to dainty appliques, this list of bridal gowns has something for every bride.
Please note, when Southern Bride & Groom visited NY Bridal Market, we visited as many designers as we could fit into our schedule that are carried by our personally recommended Raleigh, Durham, Cary, Chapel Hill and Wilmington wedding dress shops. So if you see a bridal gown or designer you like, take note of the boutique we’ve noted that carries it!
Thank you to Renee Sprink Photography for joining me for bridal fashion week, and capturing these most romantic wedding dresses from 2018 NY Bridal Market.
Most Romantic Wedding Dresses from 2018 NY Bridal Market
1-Wedding Ballgown with Flirty Flourish
Hayley Paige does big skirts so well, does she not? The layered mixed fabrics and subtle blush hue in this gown has our hearts. Blush by Hayley Paige is carried by Tre Bella Bridal, a wedding dress shop in Durham NC.
2- Lovely in Lace
Sareh Nouri blends a classic wedding dress A-line shape with a modern look – a full body overlay from sleeve to train. The large lace pattern is well articulated over the barely blue base. Sareh Nouri wedding dresses are carried in NC at Alexia’s.
3- Ballerina Bride
Tara LaTour’s new wedding dress collection is inspired by her other passion: dance. And it shows perfectly in this delicious ballgown, with its ballerina lace bodice and layered tulle skirt. This dress masterfully manages to be edgy and utterly romantic at the same time. Tara LaTour can be found at Gilded Bridal in Raleigh NC.
4- Sleek Chic Bridal Sheath
There’s just something about Flora. Somehow her gowns are so light but each one is slamming with sensuality. I had to show both front in back on this one, because they are a delightfully surprising combination, and you can see the flow of the train. A plus! Flora’s creations are carried in NC by Alexia’s.
5- Cinderella Wedding Ballgown
If you’ve been fantasizing about walking down the aisle in a romantic wedding dress since you were a little girl, there’s a good chance it looked something like this. This magical wedding gown the stuff fairy-tales are made of. Ines di Santo is carried at Alexia’s in Raleigh.
6- Tradition with a Twist
A classic wedding dress shape is adorned with a twisted modern bow and lace corset top. Top it off with a breathtaking cathedral veil, and the combination is pure romance. Isabelle Armstrong can be found in Raleigh NC at Alexia’s.
7- Woodland Wedding Fantasy
This ethereal gown gives me visions of a nymph’s woodland wedding. Alexandra Grecco’s designs are simultaneously sweetly feminine and smoking hot. Some of her truly romantic wedding dresses are carried by Gilded Bridal in NC.
8- Mermaid Gown Meets Maven
Lazaro specializes in romantic whimsy, but this gown caught my eye because of its unique touches. The fit-and-flair wedding gown style doesn’t immediately strike me as romantic, but when combined with an open soft tulle overskirt held up by a dainty silver belt, matched by silver shoulder accents, we get a swoon inducing beauty! Lazaro is carried in NC by Tre Bella Bridal.
9- All in the Details
Roses symbolize romance. So appliqués of fabric rose make this already sweet and romantic gown burst at the seams with the look of love. The Hayley Paige couture collection is available at Coastal Knot Bridal in their Wilmington and Raleigh bridal boutiques.
10- The Look of LOVED
It’s all about love, y’all! And this gown quite literally spells it out. We are over the moon for this surprise finish. Modern Trousseu is carried by Tre Bella Bridal in Durham NC.
I hope you enjoyed our picks for the Most Romantic Wedding Dresses from 2018 Bridal Market. We had a blast picking them, and have some more fun best of lists in store in the coming week. Stay tuned!
