It’s Wedding Feature Wednesday at Southern Bride & Groom! Today, we’re excited to share Rebekah and Ben’s colorful Real Durham NC Wedding at Parizade, with photos by Rebecca Ames Photography.
Rebekah and Ben first met in their seventh grade English class and knew each other throughout high school, but they didn’t reconnect until they both moved back to Durham after college. The couple chose Parizade as their wedding venue because Durham holds a special place in their hearts – it’s where they’d grown up, where their families and friends lived, and where they’d fallen in love.
After a first look at the prestigious King’s Daughters Inn, they wed in a traditional Jewish ceremony under a chuppah made by Rebekah’s mother, in a tent from Party Reflections. Afterwards, guests were ushered inside to enjoy the couple’s creative spin on the classic wedding day “somethings” — something old (mint juleps), something new (sparkling rose), something borrowed (a cocktail from one of the couple’s favorite restaurants) and something blue (blueberry vodka lemonade).
Rebekah wanted a colorful and eclectic feel to her décor, which was perfected with the help of Amanda from A Swanky Affair, beautiful, bright florals, and detailed vintage centerpieces. A cake from Sugarland followed a delicious feast by Parizade’s catering team, and No Regret Productions kept everyone on the dance floor throughout the evening!
Congrats Rebekah and Ben – your wedding was absolutely stunning!
