Urban Downtown Raleigh Wedding at The Stockroom at 230

Jeana and Daniel met while attending an LLS Charity event hosted by Sullivan’s Steakhouse with their company and friends. Dan says the moment he saw Jeana he knew it was the woman he wanted to marry…what a romantic!  They talked about their love for Mexican food, cooking, and working in the same industry (sales). Their first official date was at his house where he cooked his “famous” homemade beef enchiladas and they talked all night.

It didn’t take long for them to realize they wanted to spend the rest of their lives together – Dan proposed on Halloween – their six-month anniversary. It was just the two of them at his kitchen table with a dozen white roses and a bottle of champagne to celebrate.

They chose the fun, urban setting of The Stockroom at 230 because it was conveniently located in downtown Raleigh and had plenty of old world charm in an intimate setting. The theme was vintage, sophisticated and romantic and the colors were navy, gold and white.

The couple had a traditional Jewish ceremony, during which guests were seated in a circle surrounding the Chuppah so guests could view inside it no matter where they were seated. Then, for the reception, the area was turned into a beautiful sweetheart table.

To make the ceremony even more personal, Dan and Jeana asked Dan’s father to perform the ceremony.  They also involved their mothers by having them light a unity candle. English Garden draped the Chuppah in lush white flowers.

After the ceremony, guests were asked to make their way next door to The Mahler Fine Art Gallery for cocktail hour followed by a delicious dinner provided by Empire Eats.

f8 Photo Studios expertly captured the closeness, tenderness and jovial nature of this beautiful couple and their close family and friends.

“When we had an initial phone meeting with Cara (f8 Photo Studios), her energy and passion for her craft was undeniable. When we met with her in person, her examples of previous work and personality solidified our decision to have her capture the images that we treasure now and for always.”

What else can we say but the menu options from Empire Eats were incredibly delicious! We had a few special requests for vegan dishes and they assisted us without any hesitation.”

Wedding Planner
“We had the most wonderful experience working with Gina at A Southern Soiree! From our initial phone consultation all the way to the day of our wedding and after our honeymoon, Gina has been professional, responsive, and friendly! Given that we had 150 guests in attendance, there were a lot of people Gina had to shuffle around as well as coordinate with vendors the perfect “flip” of the room from a ceremony to sit down dinner reception. Everything went off without a hitch! We are more than pleased with her services and wish we could do it all over again.”

Hair & Makeup
“Kerri Kunsman of Makeup for Your Day was my artist and she really created some beautiful faces to light up our photos. She took suggestions for what I envisioned and performed perfectly!”

“Every interaction with The English Garden and her team was wonderful! I believe that the flowers are the most important element of a wedding to set the tone, and English Garden over-delivered! The design on our chuppah was more than we could have ever imagined. And since we placed the chuppah in the middle as the center piece in the room, it was important that we created something that guests would be talking about. When I met with Cydney to finalize our design of the chuppah and center pieces, she was so creative and engaging! You could really see her get inspired with ideas and that she absolutely loves what she does in helping brides ideas come to life!”
