A Vision of God’s Love and Faith at Vintage Church Wedding in Downtown Raleigh
Christopher and Caroline were made for each other. Their combined devotion to the Christian faith and love for God makes them a match made in heaven! For this beautiful bride and groom, Vintage Church was a perfect oasis of charm in the middle of downtown Raleigh. They chose Vintage Church as their wedding venue because of its historic architecture and welcoming atmosphere. Christopher and Caroline selected a wedding theme that matched their personal style and taste — fresh greenery, kisses of blush and navy blue, and whimsical, rustic decor. The photos of Christopher and Caroline’s wedding day at Vintage Church are full of incredible wedding planning inspiration as well as an honest vision of love founded in faith. God, the Wedding Planner Above All Wedding Planners
Caroline first met Christopher at her hometown church in Fayetteville, North Carolina. However, the young Christian friendship would not become romantic for another three years! But if you ask Christopher and Caroline, this was all a part of God’s beautiful plan. The night Caroline finally agreed to go on a date with Christopher is the same night she says she started falling in love with his sense of humor and humble heart.
If you think Caroline made it easy for Christopher to propose, you’re wrong. Two weeks before Christopher’s “surprise” proposal at the beach, Caroline discovered his secret plan! Disappointed with herself for uncovering the surprise, she became convinced that the whole proposal was postponed. Meanwhile, Christopher took two full days of scheming to plan a knock-out marriage proposal.
On the Fourth of July, Christopher planned to take Caroline out for breakfast and a photoshoot in downtown Raleigh. Caroline took too long to get ready, so their breakfast plans changed about three times and she ended up just getting a bagel from Starbucks because she was so hangry. Sounds relatable, right? Christopher finally lead Caroline up to the top of an apartment complex where a beautiful skyline of Raleigh greeted her. Before their “photoshoot,” he pulled her aside and that’s when Christopher told Caroline he wanted to spend the rest of his life with her and asked, “Will you marry me?” Caroline was so surprised, so much so, that Christopher had to ask it repeatedly before she could process what was happening! It was the sweetest moment and Caroline felt like the luckiest girl in the world!
Vintage Inspired Bridal Gown with Blush and Navy Blue Bridal Party
Bride Caroline looked angelic in a vintage lace bridal gown and sheer button up back. Her classic bridal look was polished off with a sparkling, waistline belt and an elegant, ball gown skirt of taffeta. Caroline’s bridesmaids looked pretty in pink with floor length bridesmaids dresses. Caroline’s maid of honor stood out in a special dress of the same style as the other bridesmaids, but a different color. This is a great way to let your maid of honor stand out and feel extra special on your wedding day!
Fresh bouquets of greenery and bright flowers gave this wedding a modern and natural vibe. Christopher and Caroline’s love of the outdoors was reflected by their gorgeous, garden bouquets. The groom stepped out on his wedding day in a dashing navy blue suit and fantastic floral tie! Altogether, this blush and navy blue bridal party looked amazing from head to toe.

Bride Caroline’s favorite part of the wedding was taking holy communion after their vows. Both the bride and groom wanted to commit their marriage to God and put Him at the center of their relationship. Following their wedding ceremony at Vintage Church, Chrispther and Caroline lead their wedding guests in an intimate moment of worship.
Classic Vintage Church Wedding Reception
Christopher and Caroilne’s wedding reception was filled with love and laughter. Following the wedding ceremony, guests stayed at Vintage Church for the wedding reception! Planning both the wedding ceremony and reception at the same venue makes the big day easier for everyone. Surrounded by the warm decor of Vintage Church, the newlyweds danced the night away with all of their closest family and friends. The bride and groom’s southern roots were expressed by their tasty barbecue dinner!
Today, Christopher and Caroline live happily in Garner, North Carolina. Caroline works as the executive assistant to the senior pastor at C3 Church and Christopher is self-employed as a marketing consultant. We are beyond grateful that this lovely bride and groom were willing to share their love story and wedding with Southern Bride and Groom and all of our followers. Bride Caroline says that her husband Christopher was the answer to her prayers,
“Christopher is everything I prayed for and brings me closer to God. I am so thankful that God brought him into my life and fulfilled the desires of my heart.”
We love how Christopher and Caroline’s faith were expressed in their wedding day. Check out this real wedding blog at Rose Hill wedding venue to see another gorgeous expression of faith.
