Lavender Oaks Farm – one of the Best and Most Unique Barn Wedding Venues in Chapel Hill NC

Located in Chapel Hill, NC, Lavender Oaks Farm is a working lavender farm featuring several glorious acres of regal purple fields, woodland trails, and historic refurbished barns. The barn venues overlook the lavender fields, and are used for elegant rustic Chapel Hill weddings.

This farm truly is a project of love that comes from owners Karen and Robert MacDonald. This husband and wife team purchased a 60 acre property in Chapel Hill with the vision of growing beautiful lavender fields. From there came the idea of a wedding venue. They carefully restored century old timber frame barns. The result is a most elegant setting for weddings and events. The MacDonalds thought of everything when they created the design – from a getting ready area, to a caterer’s dream kitchen, and even an area for their lavender shop. The main barn venue has a loft that allows for extra seating, while giving the barn an intimate feel. A secondary, open-air barn is available for wedding ceremonies or cocktail hour.

This hidden treasure located less than 5 miles from downtown Chapel Hill, NC, and within minutes to the nearby cities of Raleigh and Durham. The team at Lavender Oaks has worked to create a refined rural setting that captivates visitors to experience the aromatic and aesthetic qualities of several lavender varieties and learn about the history and health benefits of this wonderful crop.
