NC Museum of Art – Blending Art and Modern Style into your Raleigh Wedding
In addition to being one of the most beautiful museums with permanent masterpieces and worldwide sought-after visiting collections, the NC Museum of Art offers event spaces that are unique like no other Triangle venue. Museums have become one of the top trending wedding location choices for brides in the last year and are becoming more popular because of their airy, open spaces and wonderful included art galleries as entertainment for guests.
Situated on acres of land in mid-Raleigh, NCMA offers a spectacular array of beautiful spaces for a memorable wedding day. Their museum grounds have impressive modern sculptures all along the green rolling landscapes of their walking path. Some of our favorite wedding images ever are those we’ve seen of wedding couples outdoors with the special and enormous works of art as their backdrop. What a wonderful way to create your own portrait as a work of art for your home.
Indoors, the Great Hall of the West Building is a crisp and elegant wedding space in the midst of the museum’s permanent collection with seating or dinner and dancing for 150 guests. It is spacious as well as bright and airy. Another favorite reception venue is the Blue Ridge Atrium, which has a garden patio and lovely green views. Their Main Hall of the East Building can seat 200 guests or more cocktail style.
A favorite outdoor ceremony site and reception site is the North Courtyard with its sculpture garden, trees and romantic reflecting pool with summer water lilies.
The NC Musem of Art offers one more important amenity that makes it a fantastic wedding and reception venue. They provide turnkey design and logistical planning for your event. The special events staff and chefs of the Museum’s Iris restaurant will work with you to develop an outstanding menu tailored perfectly to your needs. The event specialists will also include and assist you with rental and floral services, musician booking, and audiovisual coordination. NCMA’s specialists are there to help you make your event a unique work of art – minus the stress.
