The Stockroom at 230 – A Warehouse Wedding Venue in downtown Raleigh
If you are looking for a warehouse wedding venue in downtown Raleigh, The Stockroom at 230 is a must-visit.
One of Team SB&G’s favorite picks, this spacious historic Raleigh event space is easy to fall in love with. Its exposed brick walls and wooden beamed ceilings open up to oversized windows that overlook Fayetteville Street. There is an elevated area, which can be used as a lounge, or for the cake display. There is also a chalk wall, which is fun for a ceremony or sweetheart table backdrop.
The Stockroom at 230 can host large weddings – up to 185 for a seated dinner or 275 guests at a standing reception. This wedding venue is also a shot walk (or rickhouse ride) away from the downtown Raleigh hotels and restaurants, which is super convenient for your wedding guests.
There is also an on site bridal suite, called The Glass Box. This is a penthouse suite in the same building and a couple of floors above The Stockroom. This small venue can be rented for stand-alone intimate Raleigh events. However, it also works beautifully for a getting ready suite for the wedding party, as well as a beautiful place for wedding portraits, with its ample natural light, and outdoor patio in the center of downtown Raleigh.
The Stockroom at 230 is operated by the Empire group, which consists of several restaurants around town (ie, The Pit, Sitti, Raleigh Times, and Gravy). The Empire Eats Catering group offers dishes from each of these restaurants. Couples can book Empire Eats Catering for their Stockroom wedding at a reduced rate. But The Stockroom does not restrict to their own catering, and does allow the wedding clients to bring outside caterers to the venue as well.
The Stockroom is one of the best wedding venues in Raleigh – from one of the top event teams! We highly recommend checking this versatile, urban event space out for your NC wedding day.
